The deadline for letters to the editor on the upcoming election on Nov. 7 to the local paper has already passed. This was a letter that Dr. Esh sent after the deadline and then shared with me so it could be published in some capacity. I’m thankful for his kind words. I admire and respect him greatly. Here it is:
In contemporary American politics, we face a distinct shortage of citizens who are willing to spend their time and talents to serve the public good. Rick Hogaboam (running for seat #3 on the city council) is such a rare individual. Rick is a passionate advocate for local politics. Nampa faces the challenge of improving our infrastructure, reducing crime and enhancing our schools while keeping government small and efficient. Rick is committed to the task. He will be accessible and open to the voters. He is a man of integrity and deep principle. He brings rich experience as the leader of a non-profit, a thinking citizen, and passionate activist to his campaign.
I am convinced Rick has a bright future in our civic life. I urge you to join me in supporting him.
